SHEFFIELD FUNDS
1) Neighbourhood Renewal – Community Chest
Grants between £50 and £5000 for small community groups working with people facing poverty and / or disadvantage to improve their neighbourhood.
2) Neighbourhood Renewal – Community Learning Chest
Grants up to £500 are available to encourage individuals involved in neighbourhood renewal to develop their skills and knowledge or up to £5000 for community groups regenerating their local neighbourhood.
3) Community Champions
This fund provides grants of between £50 and £2000 for training and support to individual volunteers working with or in community groups.
4) Local Network Fund For Children and Young People
Grants of between £250 and £7000 are available for various themes. See South Yorkshire Community Foundation web site for more details.
5) Small Grants Fund
These grants are intended for smaller, less well-resourced groups where small amounts of funding can make a real difference. The majority of grants are one-off payments of between £50 and £1500.
BIG LOTTERY FUND
The Big Lottery Fund is the distributor for the National Lottery grants and was formed by merging the New Opportunities Fund and the Community Fund. The website has details of how to apply for Big Lottery funding together with links to other funding sources.

As part of the Lottery programme is Awards for All a grants scheme aimed at local communities. Grants of between £500 and £5000 are available to fund projects that take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.

Website : www.sykeyfund.org.ukThe South Yorkshire Key Fund aims to encourage and support social enterprises. These are businesses with predominately social objectives. Surpluses are re-invested back into the business or in the community, supporting and creating self-sustainability leading to wider benefits.
FUNDS
1) Enterprise Fund
Provides up to £5000 pre-matched grants for specific areas of business development.
2) Growth Fund
Provides both grants and loans as part of a combined package. Match funds of 20% of the total project value will be required. Applicants will be able to access up to £20000 in grants and a further £10000 in loans.
3) Loan and Investment Fund
This fund will provide loans up to £25000 and also individual equity investments / social venture capital tailored to individuals needs to a maximum of £100000. Match funds of 30% of the total project value will be required.
The fund will target enterprises with sufficient track records in community economic development and have capacity to develop.
